Custom Die Cutting and Converting

With over 35 years of experience Elastomer Technologies, Inc. (ETI) offers custom die cutting using multiple processes including high speed automatic Preco work centers, as well as clicker, travelling head, and punch presses to accommodate a range of materials, component shapes, and production volumes.

ETI's die cutting capabilities include the ability to cut rubber, plastics, foam, sponge, hook and loop, film, adhesives, and packaging materials to close tolerances. Adhesive backed materials can also be kiss-cut as requested.

High speed presses can be used to efficiently cut high volume components while stamping presses are ideal for precision cutting applications. By maintaining multiple types of cutting equipment, we are able to provide versatile and efficient contract services for a range of applications.

ISO-Certified Die Cutting & Secondary Services

ETI is ISO 9001:2008 certified — We serve a diverse array of customers including the defense, aerospace, packaging, medical and film industries. These professionals count on us to provide them with premium quality components in volumes from one hundred to one million pieces. Additional services include molding, custom slitting, contract sewing, assembly, and packaging. Lead times, which average 4 to 7 days for first article die cut parts, are among the fastest in the industry.

Traditional Die Cutting of Small and Larger Parts

Our clicker machines including the traveling head presses shown in the photo have the advantage of lower tooling costs, easy set-up and multi cavity tooling cycles for efficiency. The equipment can accommodate parts up to 24.0".

High Speed Die Cutting

Preco automatic die cutting equipment is efficient for annual volumes exceeding several thousand parts per run. This process has the added advantage of improved precision and can be run automatically depending on the material.

Kiss-cut parts for ease of use during assembly projects can be made with the correct material and tooling. Used with bolstered off-set tooling, the Preco press is capable of quickly and cost-effectively cutting large numbers of parts accurately and even boxing at the machine.

Stamping

High speed stamping is cost effective for materials or geometry needing a more accurate tool and finished cut. Applications might include plastic, PTFE, rubber, paper, or light gauge metals.

Adding Value

Materials combined with adhesive backing, specially molded thin wall or custom thickness materials, assemblies, and exotic tooling applications are available.
